Canon BG-E6 EOS 5D Mark II Battery Grip

The EG-E6 Battery Grip is dedicated strictly to the EOS 5D Mark II, and permits one or two LP-E6 battery packs to be installed. With two packs, the battery life is doubled, compared to using a single LP-E6 pack in-camera. Especially for extended use of the EOS 5D Mark II's movie mode or Live View, the BG-E6 is an outstanding accessory. Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to but too expensive
I have mixed feelings about this item. I shoot a lot of vertical portraits so this was a must however I don't really like it as it adds a lot of bulk to the camera and it's way too expensive. It should be $100. less. I simply do not use it unless I'm doing a portrait shoot. For everyday walking around or tripod work, it's too cumbersome. On the plus side, it feels fairly solid and should last the life of the camera.

Very good product! Comes with an extra magazine for AA batteries. Easy to install feels very solid. Remember to get an extra battery you are only purchasing the grip no an extra battery
