Customer Review: Great bargain for a first/back up SLR
I bought this camera refurbished and have been quite happy with its overall performance. It compares to the 40D, but with less resolution. Does well when looking at the http://www.dxomark.com/ testing when compared to the Canon XXD series. I have shot rough 4000 clicks without a hitch. I find the lack of a sensor cleaner a drawback. LCD could be bigger/better, but I don't use it that much. I have owned the XTI and much prefer this cameras feel and handling, but have to say the image quality appears roughly equal. More import is a good glass!

A superb camera. Excellent IQ. The only annoying feature for me is the On/Off switch which is on the rear of the camera and is fiddly if you have big hands! Excellent value.

Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to but too expensive
I have mixed feelings about this item. I shoot a lot of vertical portraits so this was a must however I don't really like it as it adds a lot of bulk to the camera and it's way too expensive. It should be $100. less. I simply do not use it unless I'm doing a portrait shoot. For everyday walking around or tripod work, it's too cumbersome. On the plus side, it feels fairly solid and should last the life of the camera.

Canon claims the Rebel Ti has the fastest autofocus (AF) in its class, which should increase accuracy and precision for shooting at a real-life pace. The included EF 28-90mm f4-f5.6 standard zoom lens is an ideal all-around lens for wide angle to medium telephoto photography.

Fast, accurate, and flexible, Rebel Ti's three autofocus systems (the camera chooses the best one automatically) free you to concentrate on your composition and to just have fun. Seven focusing points cover an area wider than any other camera in its class, letting you place your subject off-center or even focus on the area covered by multiple focus points.

The glare-free laser matte viewfinder displays seven wide-area focusing points, which are clearly superimposed to guide composition. There's also a dioptric adjustment so that prescription glasses can be removed for up-close comfort. The extralarge LCD panel is illuminated for clear viewing whatever the lighting conditions.

You can rely on Rebel Ti's automatic exposure system for professional results, but the camera's special exposure controls give you lots of room for experimentation. This is an excellent camera. It has helped me learn more about photography. The preset modes allow you to just point and shoot when you're in a rush, and the manual mode lets you get more creative. fast, accurate, versatile, durable. little bulky, but all SLR's are.
Customer Review: Excellent Camera, Fun to Use!
I've only have my Canon Ti for a week and I've already developed and purchased additional film (B&W). I was instantly impressed and amazed at the quality of pictures that I, as an amateur (and first-time camera owner) could produce. The color, sharpness, and realism portrayed in the film, along the light-weight, durable, and attractive camera body makes it a popular model, with no shock. I did a lot of personal research on modern day SLR 35mm cameras before I made my purchase and my eyes were instantly fixated on this model. The only reason that I did not give this camera a full 5-star review is that this is not the best camera on the market. Dispite the excellent monetary value, depth of use (a 60-page manual included!), and film quality that is produced, this camera is not the best out there, and obviously lacks digital properties. However, being a college student, and having a film camera in mind, this was the best choice for me; I'm a proud new Canon owner, I don't regret my purchase in the slightest, and I can't wait to take more pictures. All I personally recommend is: look for a better deal through Amazon's private dealers or on eBay, read the instruction manual, don't be intimidated, and have fun...this camera takes great pics, good shooting. ~S

This lens kit arrived in good shape and with all the scheduled accessories. The lens is used by my wife who is a good amateur photo bug. She is very impressed with the ease of use and the clarity of the images. It works well with her Rebel XTi camera. The image stabilization works well.

I purchased the kit about 3 weeks ago. The lens is quite big and heavy but I was astonished by the pictures it takes. The zoom is incredible and the IS is greate. Although its not designed for macro or portraits the results were amazing. I used the lens in disney world and the performance was outstanding. I think this lens is a must in your canon back pack.
